Using a linear programming model to optimize resources and profit in the production of publishing products
The article examines the task of optimal distribution of printing orders for the journals
"Avtomexanik" and "Instrument" between printing houses "Almaz-Press", "Karelia-Print", and "Hansaprint"
under limited production capacities and market demand constraints. By applying linear programming methods,
the optimal output volumes of the journals were determined to achieve maximum revenue.
A sensitivity analysis was performed, and dual values for an additional hour of operation
at each of the three printing houses were calculated. This linear programming method leverages
the high efficiency and versatility of linear programming for solving resource-constrained problems.
