D. I. Moldavanskiy 40 years of logical-algebraic school of Ivanovo State University: outcomes and perspectives

The article is based on the report about the research results held by the Department of algebra and mathematical logic of Ivanovo State University, made at a plenary meeting of scientific conference of IvSU on 28 January, 2014.

N. S. Savelicheva, E. V. Sokolov On the residual solvability of generalized free products of nilpotent groups

Let G be the free product of finitely generated nilpotent groups A and B with finite amalgamated subgroups, let \pi be the set of all prime divisors of the orders of the torsion parts of A and B, and let FS\pi be the class of all finite solvable \pi-groups. We find a sufficient condition for G to be residually an FS\pi-group.

L. N. Kuskovskiy On the Poincare boundary value problem

The Poincare boundary value problem is formulated and solved for the differential system with complex, continuously differentiable data and desired functions on a finite, simply connected region of the plane (generalization of the Cauchy – Riemann system). The index problem formula and the Noether conditions are obtained.

S. I. Khashin, Y. A. Khashina Frobenius pseudoprime numbers’ properties

There are no Frobenius pseudoprime numbers (FPP) less than 260. There is a hypothesis that they do not exist at all. If this hypothesis is true, or, at least, the lower bound will be substantially increased, this will make it much easier to check for prime numbers. In the paper we prove some properties of the FPP numbers.

N. I. Yatskin Category of groups topologization functors

We consider the topologization functors acting from the category of groups into the full subcategory of the category of topological group whose objects are groups with subgroup topologies. We study the correspondence between such functors and some abstract classes of groups.
